Prof Dr. Dang Tuan Dat MD

Professor Dr. Dang Tuan Dat holds the position of Vice President of the Association He was one of the first people to participate in the construction of the Institute. During 42 years of work, he was both directly involved in disease prevention and control, while actively studying and doing scientific research. He has trained and studied science in numerous countries such as the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Malaysia, Thailand, attended many international scientific conferences held in many countries around the world. In 1996, he was appointed as Deputy Director of the Central Highlands Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Director from 2002 to 2012. Head of the Sub-Committee on Plague Prevention and Control - Ministry of Health. He has chaired and participated in 145 scientific articles published in specialized scientific journals at home and abroad. Currently, he is the principal of Buon Ma Thuot University, the Chairman of the University's Science, Technology and Training Council and the Vice Chairman of the Science and Technology Council of Dak Lak Province. He has been awarded many certificates of merit from: Chairman of Vietnam Science and Technology Federation, Minister of Health, Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee and Prime Minister. He was honoured three times to be awarded the Labour Medal by the Vietnamese President: Third Class, 2004, Second Class, 2010 and First Class, 2015; Awarded the title of Distinguished Teacher in 2012. ​ Recently, on May 18, 2017, on the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology Day, Professor Dang Tuan Dat was honored as a typical intellectual in the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Dak Lak province.
